Phil Marriott, DJ & Presenter

Each week in Creatives on Speed, Joanne Oatts talks to creative thinkers, makers and doers from all walks of life - about creativity and how they use it in their work.

This week: Phil Marriott, DJ, music producer and presenter

Phil has been involved in the music industry since his first job in radio nearly 25 years ago. In that time he's presented shows for Q Radio, Gaydio and GaydarRadio where he was head of music. He's DJ'ed and had residencies at venues all around the UK and overseas, as well as guesting for Tiesto, Freemasons, Bimbo Jones and on festival stages like Manchester Pride. He's produced remixes for the likes of Erasure, Dannii Minogue and LeAnn Rimes - and now hosts his own music and entertainment-based YouTube channel.

Phil talks about his early inspirations - musical and otherwise - and takes us through what goes into remixing a track, along with his process for creating floor-filling setlists for his live gigs and amazing lockdown livestreams.
